IMPACT Drug and Alcohol Screening (January 2009)
(01/31/09)
January, 2009
Dear Member,
Effective with the new CBA beginning 7/1/08 the District Council and its signatory contractors have agreed to be bound to Impact’s Drug and Alcohol Screening Policy and Procedures.
The goal of the Impact Substance Abuse Program is to provide a “pre-qualified”, drug-free workforce. Signatory parties of the program have access to an online verification system to confirm that workers are in the eligibility pool. The program recognizes an employee test performed within the last 12 months as a valid pre-employment test. Participants will also be subject to random testing.
All testing will be done by a third party administrator, Mobile Medical Corporation. Any questions about the program should be directed to them at their Toll Free Phone number listed on the pamphlet that you will receive shortly. We urge everybody to take the time to read the pamphlet very carefully as it contains very important information about the test.
Group testing will be held at the District Council Ironworkers Training Facility in Springfield, beginning JULY 1, 2009. More information will be sent to you prior to that date.
Sincerely,
The Board of Trustees’
